The Pioneer Valley Secularists are a community of non-theists in the Pioneer Valley and surrounding areas. We are committed to promoting the separation of the church and state, secular education, and a positive perception of non-theists among the general public. We hope to contribute to society by providing social, philanthropic, and educational opportunities in an open and welcoming secular environment.

We are a society of humanists, most of whom live in the Greater Hartford area.  We organize social events, discussion groups, meetings with guest speakers, outdoor activities, and philanthropic endeavors.  As a community, we seek to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity.

We are a league of citizens from various ideological backgrounds. Some of us identify as conservatives, some as liberal, and some of us cannot relate to any of these labels. Some of us are comfortable with society’s labels like heterosexual, homosexual, transgender, masculine, or feminine; some of us reject them altogether.
